I was in your shop recently and overhead a young man who was buying some frozen clam chowder that said he buys some... every time he’s in the area. So I bought a bag of it. I’m from New England my whole life of 59 years and I’ve had a bowl or two of New England clam chowder. Tonight we thawed out that bag of chowder and had it for supper and I have to say it’s the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. While visiting Westport, we decided to try Merino’s to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We were able to call in a... takeout order (Rockfish ‘n Chips with chowder). In 15 minutes, our order was ready to be picked up. The servings were extra generous. We couldn’t eat it all (wish my daughter and I had just split one order). The chips were great. The fish was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The slaw was fresh. The chowder was 10 times better than anything you get at Ivar’s. Make sure you bring an appetite.read more

I ate inside the restaurant today. The fish and chips was A+ large potions and very tasty. We also had the crab wrap... and grilled cheese sandwich they were also A+ if you are in Westport I recommend stopping by to get some thing to eat you won't be disappointedread more

Staying in Copalis to do some clam digging and decided to make the trip to Westport just for lingcod fish and chips... from this place! Haven’t stopped thinking about it since our charter trip last July when I had it for the first time coming off the boat. Good chowder but it stops there. We tried the lingcod and salmon. The “breading” is panko crumbs and totally... flavorless. I was told the lingcod was sweet but it also had zero flavor. The guy that took our order later said it needed seasoning but they don’t season it because the locals are old people that don’t like salt. WHAT??!! I said he could have told us that before we ordered and wasted $80. If you know good fried fish, STEER CLEAR!!!!!!! Disappointing.read more

Hands down one of the best fish and chips.
Fish was lingcod, super juicy and crunchy breading on the fish.
Fries... were perfect and hardly salty, which was nice. Nothing was greasy either.
3 nice size pieces for only 10.99!! Get a drink with it and it's less than 14$.
Definitely worth the wait..
I can say though their tartar is lacking some lemon and dill other than that we will definitely be back.... Love the freshness!!!!read more
